FOOTBALL legend Neil 'Razor' Ruddock will be the guest speaker when Eccleshall FC holds a sportsman evening in aid of seriously-injured Leek Town player Matt Bradbury, pictured above.

Bradbury dislocated an ankle and broke his leg in two places while playing on a dual registration for Eccleshall against Formby in the North West Counties League last November.

He needed a four-hour operation to repair the damage during a week-long stay in hospital, and is likely to be off work for at least four or five months.

The fund-raiser, which is limited to 200 people, will be held at Knutton Ex-Servicemen's Club on Saturday, April 5 (7.30pm). A pie and peas supper is included in the ticket price of £20.

An auction of football and other sports memorabilia, together with a raffle, will also help boost the funds.

For tickets, contact Eccleshall vice-chairman Steve James on 07770 724708.
