DOMINOES were looking to extend their unbeaten run of 10 games against a side they had already beaten earlier in the season.
Cheadle started the stronger and controlled the game for the opening 35 minutes, taking a 1-0 lead.
But Dominoes' never-say-die attitude finally kicked in on 40 minutes when Liam McKay pulled a goal back.
With the foot on the pressure pedal and an increase in momentum
Tom Magness raced clear and slotted a cross-cum-shot from the left side of the 18-yard box into the roof of the Cheadle net, putting the Doms 2-1 up two minutes later.
With words spoken at half-time and the Doms knowing what was required in the second half, they steamrolled the Cheadle into submission, going 3-1 up though Steve Whitehall within minutes of the restart.
Ten minutes, later McKay grabbed his second goal of the game and with 20 minutes to go, Whitehall completed his brace to make the game safe at 5-1, although Cheadle reduced the deficit in the remaining few minutes.
The two sides meet again this weekend in the cup.
