A town centre club will be playing host to an Irish weekend. The St Patrick's Day celebrations will take place at the Central Club in Market Street, Leek from Friday (March 14) through until Sunday.

Popular musical duo Mel and Bones, pictured above, will be opening the Irish weekend with an acoustic set on Friday evening from 9pm, with doors opening at 7pm. There will be a number of guest ales available over the weekend at £2.50 a pint.

On Saturday, Rick Ford will take to the Central Club stage and will be bringing a number of friends who will be sharing the stage with him. Doors on Saturday will open at noon and the music will start at 9pm. There will also be sandwiches available.

An Open Mic Event with special appearances from local acts, will be run on Sunday from 2pm, with doors opening at 12noon, and there will be chip butties available. It will be free admission to all events over the Irish-themed weekend in celebration of St Patrick's Day.
