WRAP up warmly and join RSPB Coombes Valley once again as the nature reserve gazes skywards to explore the wonders of the universe.
The nature reserve near Leek is hosting stargazing events on November 13, 20 and 27.
Spokesman Mark Day said: “The dark nights need not keep you indoors.
“Venture out on a cold, clear evening and you could be rewarded with stunning views of the starry night skies.
“Our stargazing events are always really popular and previous evenings have been enjoyed by everyone who came along.
“So with the return of the darker evenings, we’ve decided to do it all again.
“We are inviting visitors to come along and share the amazing happenings in the night sky, without the need to blow your budget on expensive equipment.
“Even if it’s cold, come along as it’ll be a fun and fascinating evening.
“We’ll have free hot chocolate to warm you up too.”
The stargazing evenings run from 7:30 pm until 9:30 pm.
There will be a telescope available, but visitors are welcome to bring along their own binoculars and scopes.
The event costs £6 for adults and £3 for children, with 20 per cent discounts for RSPB members.
Booking is not required but the events will only take place if the skies are clear.
Telephone the reserve on 01538 384017 to enquire on the night.
