Book Signing 10am-2pm at Leek Library, Stockwell Street, Leek. Neil Collingwood will be signing copies of latest book 'Leek Through The Ages'. Copies of the book will be available for £11.99 instead of the retail price of £14.99.

Thursday November 28

Whisky Tasting Event 8pm at The Cock Inn, Derby Street, Leek. Hosted by James from The Wine Shop. Tickets are priced at £20 and will include food. Tickets and details: 01538 382408.

Charity Night in Town Centre From 5pm onwards in the Sheepmarket and Stanley Street areas of Leek. A total of 15 businesses will be donating ten percent to local charity Jo's Dreams during the event. There will be Christmas carols sung by the Young Phoenix Singers during the event as well as a raffle with prizes donated by many local businesses. PLUS television personality Denise Welch and friends will be in a marquee outside Mosaic Gift Shop in Sheepmarket from 7pm where members of the public will be able to have their photograph taken with them for a donation to GEM Appeal.

Christmas Fair 2pm at Moorlands Village Hall, Bagnall. Hosted by St Chad's Church. Stalls, refreshments plus a visit from Santa. Admission 50p for adults and free for children.

Late Night Opening 5.30pm-8pm at Westwood Post Office, Westwood Road, Leek. The Post Office will be opening late and offering customers free mince pies as well as ten percent discount. Plus the management have organised a children's colouring competition which will be judged this evening by Leek Town Mayor John Fisher. Details: 01538 386843.

Foxlowe Film Doors open at 7pm for 7.45pm start at The Foxlowe Arts centre, Market Place, Leek. This week with the screening of the 15 rated Village at the End of the World. Admission £5.
