More rain for Leek this morning but then should brighten up this afternoon

THE current wintry weather in Leek and the Staffordshire Moorlands is set to continue this morning.

According to the Met Office, the weather for the West Midlands today will be a wet and windy start. Then sunshine and showers, some wintry.

Overview for Tuesday February 11 (daytime):

A wet and windy start with some heavy downpours possible. The rain will clear eastwards fairly quickly, leaving the rest of the day bright and breezy, with a few showers, which will be wintry in the north. Maximum Temperature 7 °C.

Overview for Tuesday February 11 (nightime):

Showers will ease this evening, but a spell of showery rain is possible through the early hours, falling as snow to low levels for a time. Quite a chilly night. Minimum Temperature 0 °C.

Overview for Wednesday February 12:

A chilly and largely fine start, but soon becoming wet and very windy, especially through the afternoon, with gales over hills and some heavy bursts of rain. Maximum Temperature 7 °C.
