POST & Times readers are being given the opportunity to have their photographs used in a special 2014 calendar which will showcase wonderful sights across the Staffordshire Moorlands.
We are encouraging readers to submit their pictures from across the district for consideration.
As well as having their image used in the calendar, successful readers will also win a £20 cash prize.
In total, we are seeking 12 pictures that reflect scenes and life across the Staffordshire Moorlands.
Post & Times Editor Steve Houghton said: “Anyone who lives in the Staffordshire Moorlands knows that we have many fantastic landscapes, landmarks and events that are worthy of celebration in a calendar.
“For the calendar we will select the best 12 photographs that reflect just how much the area has to offer.
“We are seeking entries from young and old alike – novice photographers as well as those who take the hobby more seriously.
“This is a great opportunity for you to get your favourite image into print.” Photographs can be from any time of the year, to reflect the 12 months of a calendar.
The photographs used here are an example of the images and subjects that could be submitted by entrants – from the magnificent Roaches and the Nicholson War Memorial, to Tittesworth Reservoir and Rudyard Lake.
All the readers’ photographs submitted will be considered for publication and over the next few weeks a selection will also be uploaded to www.leeknews.co.uk
Mr Houghton added: “We want these calendars to celebrate the diversity of the Staffordshire Moorlands.
“Readers of all ages are invited to take part.
“It’s free to enter and you may get to see your work published and distributed to thousands of people.
“There’ll also be a £20 cash prize for every picture that’s included in our calendar.’
The competition is open to residents across the Staffordshire Moorlands and is free to enter. The calendar will go on sale in time for Christmas.
