ANOTHER venue in Leek is now offering music sessions to add to the ever-growing music scene in the market town.

Den Engel in Stanley Street now has a monthly music session which began on Sunday, January 26.

Starting at 8pm, now every third Sunday of the month, the evening gives the opportunity for singers, musicians, poets, storytellers and even dancers the chance to perform.

It is being run in a sing-around style event rather than an open mic session.

Organiser Andy Worth said: ""There will be space for all, so come along and join in. "Whistles or recorders, banduras or harps, pipes, hurdy gurdys or didgeridoos, we love them all. Bring your voice to lead a song or just to join in the chorus. Bring a poem or a story. Beginners are welcome."

For further details contact Andy on 01538 266507 or andrew39902@btinternet.com.
