Leek Golf Club captain Dave Gallimore enjoyed his first-ever hole-in-one during the club's traditional day out at Burton-on -Trent Golf Club.
The feat was achieved when his perfectly struck pitching wedge dropped in to the 131-yard second hole earning the plaudits of his playing partners.
Gallimore said: "It is the unbelievable that I have done it on my captain's day out.
The 'miracle' shot enabled Gallimore and his team of Andy Baxter, Dan Smart and Stewart Townsend to win the overall event with 85 points, from Dave Allen, Trevor Ecclestone, Adrian Briggs and Mike Wootton, who scored 83.
One of Leek's youngest members, schoolboy Jack Fryer, from Cheddleton, achieved a memorable feat in the Captain's Day for juniors.

He said: "I have been playing golf for over 30 years and I have never heard of anyone scoring so many points on one hole.
"It's a fantastic achievement and I think he will become a very good player in the future".
