The latest court cases to appear at North Staffordshire Magistrates' Court in Newcastle-Under-Lyme.

The case against Ashfaq Khan, of Greenway, Clay Lake, Endon, aged 31, who was charged with unlawfully and maliciously inflicting grievous bodily harm in Norton and damaging a vehicle in Brown Edge on November 23 2013, has been discontinued.

Adam Reynolds, of 1 Haste Hill Avenue, Kingsley, aged 25, has been charged with stealing clothing from Alton Towers on March 31; failing without reasonable excuse to surrender to custody at North Staffordshire Magistrates' Court in Newcastle-Under-Lyme on March 14 and stealing a tablet computer from Sainsbury's in Newcastle on March 27. He pleaded guilty to all charges and has been given a conditional discharge for 12 months and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £15, compensation of £119.95 for the tablet, and costs of £85.

Gareth Peter Morris, of 33 London Street, Leek, aged 33, has been charged with resisting a police officer in his duty in leek on December 1 2013. He pleaded guilty and has been fined £200 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £20 and costs of £85.

Keyleigh Weston, of 39 Ball Haye Green, Leek, aged 26, has been charged with producing cannabis in Leek on February 5. She pleaded guilty and has been given a community order for 12 months and fined £50 and ordered to pay £85 costs.

Martin McKeating, of Browhill, Allen Street, Cheadle, aged 42, has been charged with driving while over the legal alcohol limit in High Street, Kingsley, on March 30. He pleaded guilty and has been fined £110, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £20 and costs of £85 and has been disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 17 months.

Ricky Adrian Ratcliffe, of Brooklea, Tean Road, Cheadle, aged 25, has been charged with being in possession of cannabis in Tean on March 31. He pleaded guilty and has been fined £105 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £20 and costs of £80.

The case of Kevin Lloyd John Warrington, of Rivendell, Gorsty Hill, Tean, aged 25, who was charged with producing cannabis in Tean between October 1, 2013, and November 3, 2013, has been discontinued.

Steven Harold Bould, of 54 Wardles Crescent, Leek, aged 24, has been charged with destroying a church window in Leek on September 12, 2013. He pleaded guilty and has been given a conditional discharge of 12 months and ordered to pay compensation of £150 and a victim surcharge of £15 and costs of £60.

Timothy George Walker, of Apartment 1, Davenport Court, Salisbury Street, Leek, aged 29, has been charged with damaging a CCTV camera, drain pipe, marked police car, all belonging to Staffordshire Police, damaging another vehicle, and using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour in Leek on April 1. He has pleaded guilty and has been remanded on unconditional bail until April 24 when he is due appear at North Staffordshire Magistrates' Court in Newcastle-Under-Lyme.

The case of Thomas Kenneth Sims, of 6 Byron close, Cheadle, aged 21, who was charged with damaging a shop window in Leek on March 16, has been discontinued. Adam Platt, of 139 Stallington Road, Blythe Bridge, aged 32, has been charged with assault in Bucknall on March 18. He pleaded guilty and has been committed to prison for eight weeks.

Sean Victor Waterhouse, of 37 Ball Haye Road, Leek, aged 27, has been charged with being drunk and disorderly in Leek on March 15 and stealing a bottle of vodka in Leek on March 15. He pleaded guilty and has been fined a total of £70 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £20, compensation of £9.70 and costs of £85.

Dawn Sarah Tabrett-Cooper, of 71 Ashbourne Road, Leek, aged 49, has been charged with dishonestly failing to notify the Department for Work and Pensions of a change in her circumstances which she knew would affect her entitlement to disability living allowance between April 14, 2010, and May 14, 2013; and dishonestly making a statement to the Department for Work and Pensions which was false with a view to obtaining a benefit on September 10 2008 in Stafford. She pleaded not guilty and has been remanded on unconditional bail until June 11 when she is due to appear at North Staffordshire Magistrates' Court in Newcastle-Under-Lyme.

John Christopher James Lines, of 82 Park Road, Leek, aged 23, has been charged with driving a motorcycle in Leek while disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence and while subject to a suspended sentence order on November 30, 2013. He pleaded guilty and has been committed to prison for four weeks and has been given a further disqualification from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 12 months.

Susan Lorraine Tatton, of 41 Britannia Street, Leek, aged 42, has been charged with driving while over the legal alcohol limit in Britannia Street, Leek, on March 18. She pleaded guilty and has been fined £110 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £20 and costs of £85 and disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 17 months.

Derrick Terrence Thompson, of 82 Wardle Crescent, Leek, aged 27, has been charged with being in possession of amphetamine in Leek on March 21. He pleaded guilty and has been fined £200 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £20 and costs of £85.

Heather Whittingham, of 10 Meadow Road, Brown Edge, aged 18, has been charged with being in possession of cannabis with intent to supply in Cobridge on December 12 2013. She has been sent for trial to Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on July 18.

Lawrence William Phillips, of 14 Withystakes Road, Werrington, aged 63, has been charged with assault and threatening another person in Werrington on March 8. He pleaded not guilty and has been remanded on unconditional bail until June 13 when he is due to appear at North Staffordshire Magistrates' Court in Newcastle-Under-Lyme.

Robert Alan Shaw, of Flat 4, Brunswick Mill, Britannia Street, Leek, aged 31, has been charged with theft in Leek on March 16, He pleaded guilty and has been remanded on unconditional bail until April 29 when he is due to appear at North Staffordshire Magistrates' Court in Newcastle-Under-Lyme. He has also been charged with theft in Leek on January 1 while subject to a conditional discharge. He pleaded not guilty and has been remanded on unconditional bail until April 29 when he is due to appear at North Staffordshire Magistrates' Court in Newcastle-Under-Lyme.

He has also been charged with two counts of theft in Leek on March 14. He pleaded guilty and has been remanded on unconditional bail until April 29 when he is due to appear at North Staffordshire Magistrates' Court in Newcastle-Under-Lyme.

Dean Scarratt, of 284A Uttoxeter Road, Blythe Bridge, aged 33, has been charged with failing without reasonable excuse to comply to the requirements of a community order by failing to report for unpaid work on September 11 2013 and September 18, 2013. He admitted the breach and the order will continue and he has been ordered to pay costs of £60.

William Poyser, of 36 Shirburn Road, Leek, aged 31, has been charged with assault in Leek on March 6. He pleaded guilty and has been fined £210 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £21 and costs of £85.

Anthony Ian Allwood Simpson, of Clough Head Cottage, Leek Road, Warslow, aged 27, has been charged with failing to stop and failing to give required details after an accident in Longnor on October 26, 2013. The case has been adjourned until April 24 when he is due to appear at North Staffordshire Magistrates' Court in Newcastle-Under-Lyme.

Liam John James, of 26 Churnet close, Cheddleton, aged 19, has been charged with driving while over the legal alcohol limit in Ostlers Lane, Cheddleton, on February 7. He pleaded guilty and has been fined £330, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of 33 and costs of £85 and has been disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 12 months.
