The latest court cases to appear at North Staffordshire Magistrates' Court in Newcastle-Under-Lyme and Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court in Hanley

Stephan John Ball, of Haregate Road, Leek, aged 26, has been charged with stealing meat in Leek on January 18 while subject to a conditional discharge. He pleaded guilty and has been given a community order and must pay a victim surcharge of £60 and court costs of £85.

Sean Victor Waterhouse, of Ball Haye Road, Leek, aged 26, has been charged with damaging shop windows, a car, and a waste bin in Leek on January 9. He pleaded guilty and has been given a community order and electronically monitored curfew for 60 days and must carry out 80 hours unpaid work and £170 court costs, compensation of £250 and a victim surcharge of £60.

Jake Alcock, of Robina Drive, Cheadle, aged 20, has been charged with being drunk and disorderly in Hanley on January 19. He pleaded guilty and has been discharged conditionally for 12 months and must pay a victim surcharge of £15 and court costs of £85.

Robert Daniel Ferns, of Glebeville, Leek, aged 21, has been charged with destroying a TV in Leek on January 14. He pleaded guilty and has been fined £110 and must pay compensation of £100 and a victim surcharge of £20 and costs of £85.

George William Brayford, of Adamthwaite Drive, Blythe Bridge, aged 72, has been charged with assaulting and threatening another person who he was prohibited from contacting by a restraining order while subject to a conditional discharge on November 1, 2013, in Blythe Bridge. He has pleaded guilty to all charges and has been remanded on conditional bail until March 13 when he will appear at North Staffordshire Magistrates’ Court in Newcastle-Under-Lyme.

Kelvin Neil Hilton, of Trent Road, Forsbrook, aged 51, has been charged with being drunk and disorderly in Blurton on February 1 and failed without reasonable excuse to comply with a notification order under the Sexual Offences Act. He pleaded guilty to the first charge and not guilty to the second charge and has been remanded on conditional bail until March 27 when he will appear at North Staffordshire Magistrates’ Court in Newcastle-Under-Lyme.

Rebecca Ann Austin, of Tean Road, Cheadle, aged 26, has been charged with stealing a purse and cash from a casino in Hanley on May 18, 2013. She pleaded guilty and must pay compensation of £30 and costs of £85.

Luke Wain, of New Court, Cheadle, aged 19, has been charged with damaging a Renault Clio, using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour towards police, and resisting police officers in the execution of their duty in Cheadle on November 17, 2013. He pleaded guilty and has been fined £190 and must pay £370.32 compensation, a victim surcharge of £20 and £220 court costs.

Robert Alan Shaw, of Brunswick Mill, Britannia Street, Leek, aged 30, has been charged with stealing meat in Leek on January 5. He pleaded not guilty and has been remanded on conditional bail until March 21 when he will appear at North Staffordshire Magistrates’ Court in Newcastle.

Desmond James Ball, of St Luke’s Court, Fountain Street, Leek, aged 23, has been charged with assaulting a police officer in Leek on December 31, 2013. He pleaded guilty and has been fined £225 and must pay compensation of £100, a victim surcharge of £22 and £85 court costs.

Michael Keith Henshall, of Crossfield Avenue, Blythe Bridge, aged 36, has been charged with driving a VW Polo on Crossfield Avenue in Blythe Bridge while over the drink drive limit on January 1. He pleaded guilty and has been fined £110 and must pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 court costs and has been disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 20 months.

Charges against Jamie Scott Dunn-Fox, of Salisbury Street, Leek, of threatening that damage by fire would be done to another person’s vehicle between October 10 and 25, 2013, and using towards another person threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour on October 25, 2013, have been dismissed.

Sylvia Owen, of Sytch Road, Brown Edge, aged 66, has been charged with failing to provide a breath specimen to police without reasonable excuse in Etruria on January 6 and breaching the terms of a conditional discharge. She pleaded guilty and has been fined £110 and must pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 court costs and has been disqualified from driving for 16 months.

Francis Michael James Hulme, of Oakhill Close, Tean, aged 29, has been charged with assault in Meir on October 15, 2013. He pleaded guilty and has been given a suspended sentence of 14 weeks for 18 months and has been given a restraining order and must pay £200 compensation, a £80 victim surcharge and £250 costs.

Gregory Thomas Taylor, of Draycott Old Road, Draycott, aged 25, has been charged with driving a Ford Fiesta in Baths Road, Stoke, on January 1 while over the drink drive limit. He pleaded guilty and has been given a community order and must pay a £60 victim surcharge, £85 court cots and has been disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 46 months.

John Kenneth Yates, of Field Street, Leek, aged 56, has been charged with stealing a pair of jeans in Hanley on January 28. He pleaded guilty and has been discharged conditionally and must pay a £15 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.

Josephine Adams, of Furlong Drive, Tean, has been charged with driving a Toyota Rav4 in Draycott Road, upper Tean, on November 4, 2013, dangerously. She pleaded not guilty and the case has been adjourned until March 4 when she will appear at North Staffordshire Magistrates’ Court in Newcastle.

Sharona Elouise Jayne Lever, of Ballington Gardens, Leek, aged 20, has been charged with assault in Leek on July 8, 2013. and July 31, 2013. She has been remanded on unconditional bail until March 31 when she will appear at North Staffordshire Magistrates’ Court. in Newcastle-Under-Lyme.

Carley Elizabeth Bostock, of Bluestones Close, Blackshaw Moor, aged 19, has been charged with damaging a white Nissan Qashqai in Leek on October 4, 2013, and breaching a conditional discharge order. She pleaded guilty and has been fined £110 and must pay £175 compensation and a £20 victim surcharge.

Richard Aldridge, of Fairview Road, Leek, aged 36, has been charged with assault in Swythamley on October 3 and 31, 2013. He pleaded guilty and has been given a community order and must carry out 100 hours unpaid work and given a restraining order. He must also pay a £60 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.

Pamela Mary Davey, of Rowan Court, Mayfield Drive, Blythe Bridge, aged 55, has been charged with being the owner of a dog which while out of control injured another person in Blythe Bridge on June 23, 2013, and failing without reasonable excuse to surrender to custody at North Staffordshire Magistrates’ Court in Newcastle-Under-Lyme on November 25, 2013. She has pleaded not guilty to the first charge and has been remanded on unconditional bail until April 17 when she will appear at North Staffordshire Magistrates’ Court.
