The latest Cheadle Police incident updates and appeals

POLICE are appealing for information and witnesses for the following incidents;

On Wednesday, February 19, vandals trashed a phone box in Grange Road, Cheddleton, by spraying the words Nazi onto it along with a swastika.

On Wednesday, February 19, 52 metal panels were stolen from the former Hope and Anchor Pub in Cellarhead.

On Sunday, February 16, there was a cigarette burglary at Bargain Booze in Ashbank Road, Werrington.

On Saturday, February 22, there was an attempted burglary at Leek Shooting Club in Thorncliffe. Thieves have unsuccessfully attempted to break into the building. CCTV footage has recorded five males with dogs and one male was carrying an axe.

Between Saturday, February 22, and Monday, February 24, a blue Vespa moped, registration number F369 FEA, was stolen from Church Street in Cheadle.

On Tuesday, February 25, an 81-year-old lady has been knocked down by a silver VW Polo in High Street, Cheadle, at 11.20am. She sustained minor injuries and was treated by paramedics at the scene. Police are investigating.
