Comedy fans are in for a real treat this week with the next laugh-a-minute evening hosted by Leek Comedy Club.
Headlining tomorrow's comedy slot at Foxlowe Arts Centre in Leek is Gary Delaney, a regular guest on television's 'Mock The Week' and also a writer for television, radio and other comedians.
Gary was the only stand-up to have two of his jokes named in the top ten gags at 2010's Edinburgh Fringe.
Well-known for his taut, brilliant one-liners Gary Delaney is very much in demand on the comedy circuit. The large quantity of his quick-fire gags leaves his audiences struggling to remember them all.
Support this month comes from Liverpudlian Jamie Sutherland, who has travelled all over Europe and even as far as Australia to make people laugh. His observations and tales are topical and original, never failing to connect with audiences. Jamie is one of the most popular comics presently on the circuit.
Completing the line-up will be the daring and ingenious David Jesudason, with his contemporary material and musical comedian Jim Daly, with his one-liners and raps.
Compere for the night is the affable and hospitable Paul Savage.
Doors of the Foxlowe Arts Centre for Leek Comedy Club, tomorrow (Thursday, June 5), will open at 8pm with the comedians on stage from 8.30pm.
Tickets are £8 and available in advance from the Foxlowe Arts Centre, which is situated at the top of Leek's Market Place.
Alternatively pay on the door.
After tomorrow might's gig, Leek Comedy Club will take a summer break but is set to be back with another great line-up of comedians in the Autumn.
