The free music festival of Dovefest is taking place this weekend

A free music festival is taking place in a Staffordshire village this weekend.

The family friendly DoveFest will be taking place in Doveridge, near Uttoxeter, on Saturday (August 30) between midday and 11pm.

Music acts lined up for this year's DoveFest, which will be set on a site off Sand Lane in Doveridge, includes: JJ Rosa, Tom Hingley (ex Inspiral Carpets), Bones, The Shelter, Funk Soul Collective, Judge Fudge, The Llight, Refried Radio - all on the Park Stage. On the Cavendish Acoustic Stage, there will be: Black Out Eden, Mark Robinson, Morgan Bryan, Sui Generis, The Skir and more. And on the Downpage Stage there will be: The March, Testcard Theory, Downpage Liberation, Flat 24/7, Fire Tonight and more.

Other activities during DoveFest are set to include: children's rides, mega inflatables, bouncy castles, swing boats, African drum workshops, story telling, face painting, loom bands, craft stalls, bars from Freedom Brewery and Leather Britches Brewery, Leafbone Woodfired Pizzas, Falafel Wagon, Thai Pies, ChipStix, House of Coffee, Ashmores Ice Cream, Boundary Bangers and much more.
