Leek A, in the Congleton League, played Pittshill Club A at Beggars Lane, winning five and losing three games to triumph 142-112.
The best scores were produced by Chris Plant (21-3) and Alan Franklin (21-8).
The tougher test will be next week away to Pittshill in the return fixture.
The B team didn't play but the C team, also at home, beat Knypersley C 159-113, with a big win for Brenda Fry (21-5).
The Veterans League saw the A team at Fegg Hayes, often a difficult venue, and so it turned out as they went down 123-148.
There were only two winners for Leek, Eileen Hollinshead (21-10) and Brian Ball (21-12), and two scores of 20 from Chris Hulme and Harold Needham.
The B team were at home to the Fegg Hayes A Team, a strong outfit, and the score tells the story, Leek going down 157-118 – although Don Wood and Dave Turner managed to win their games.
The Vets C lost 152-123 away to Goostrey and recorded three winners, the best of which was Jill Peacock (21-11).
In Stoke-on-Trent League Division Two, Leek A were at home to Milton Recs and managed to edge the match by 139-132.
Chris Plant (21-12) played well against Alan Davis and produced the best score for the home team.
The B team visited Cheadle and despite good wins from John Walton (21-9)and Joe Bailey (21-15) the match was lost 150-125.
In the ladies league, Leek A were at home to Florence and won 139- 112, dropping only eight chalks.
There were six winners and the best of these was Maureen Turner (21-9).
The Uttoxeter League saw the A team away to Mayfield A and three low scores dragged the overall score down to 187-214 for Mayfield.
The best Leek scores were 21-10 for Margaret Wood, and for Arthur Naylor and Maureen Turner in the doubles.
On Sunday, Leek A were in action at home again against Ashbourne Park A and started well, with four out of four doubles wins.
The singles proved more tricky as the green dried and speeded up, with four out of the eight winning and the overall score slightly disappointing at 223-189.
Leek B registered a terrific maximum score at home top Checkley B, team who are having a tough season.
There were six single figure scores in the total.

LEEK Park B overcame their A team by 30 points in their Stoke-on-Trent League clash – a result that didn't help either side. as they are both languishing at the foot of the table.
Monday saw the Congleton League team produce five winners in a home victory over Swettenham, with Dave Scragg (21-5) claiming the kitty.
The Thursday fixture against Pittshill Victoria saw Leek gain a respectable 143 points on a tricky green.
On Saturday, Park lost at home to current league champions Westlands 199-138.
The Bees returned home from Anchor Road with 101 points and no winners – but they still remain in third in the table.
