FAMILIES enjoyed a host of activities and entertainment on a recreational grounds in Leek at the weekend.
The sixth annual Action West End Family Fun Day took place on Westwood Road Recreational Grounds on Saturday.
The community-focused event included fairground rides, games, a supervised football game, fancy dress competition, craft stalls, as well as a dance display and music.
A spokesman for Action West End said: "It was a good day - we could have done with a few more people coming along to enjoy the event.
"We think the decrease in numbers of people coming along could have been due to the weather forecast for the day.
"However it turned out to be a lovely day with just one slight downpour of rain.
"Everyone who came along seemed to enjoy themselves.
"We would like to thank everyone for supporting the event from the volunteers helping to man our stalls and put up marquees, to those who came and hosted a stall for their own organisation.
"Thanks to the members of the Haregate Dance Crew who performed a lovely dance display, to DJ Nick Sheldon for playing a smooth set, and to Megan Green who showcased her beautiful vocals in a number of songs for us.
"Thanks also go to Your Housing for sponsoring the hire of the marquees this year, and to all the other businesses and individuals who donated generously to our tombola and raffle."
