A FREE half-day workshop is being held 9.30am to 12.30pm on Tuesday, December 10, on how to apply for arts funding with an emphasis on the Arts Council ‘Grants for Arts’.

It is open to anyone involved in the arts, or planning some arts related activity, from community groups through to individual artists. The workshop will explain how to make the best possible applications and will give hints and tips based on some practical examples.

The workshop is being organised by Support Staffordshire (Staffordshire Moorlands), and will take place in its Training Room at 9 High Street, Leek, ST13 5DZ.

The tutor will be Nigel Caldwell of High Peak CVS, who has many years experience of making grant applications as an arts development officer and from his involvement in the New Mills Community Festival.

To book a free place or to find out more about Support Staffordshire, call into the Moorlands branch directly at 9 High Street, Leek, or call 01538 398240 and follow @supportstaffordshire for the latest updates.
