Art Exhibition @ 10am-4pm at The Foxlowe Arts Centre, Market Place, Leek. With creations by Pam Littlewood, Jackie White, Denise Dutton and Dennis Westwood. Running until March 3. Gallery open Wednesday to Saturday from 10am until 4pm, and on Sundays: 11am- 4pm.

Jewellery Party @ 6pm-9pm at The Red Lion in Cheddleton. Hand-made items by Wyre Jewellery.

What's It Worth @ 11am-1pm at the Foxlowe Arts Centre, Market Place, Leek. Allan Pickering Moorlands Radio Antiques Expert will be holding a free valuation session. Details: 01538 383830.

Illustrated Talk @ 7.30pm at The Foxlowe Arts Centre, Market Place, Leek. Leek Through The Ages by local author Neil Collingwood.

UKIP Meeting @ 7.30pm at The Red Lion, Market Place, Leek. The event will give people the opportunity to find out more about the local branch of UKIP (The UK Independence Party) and also to talk about local issues. Current UKIP issues locally are wind turbines and the state of the highways and roads in the area. Refreshments will be available.

Live Music @ 9pm at The Quiet Woman, St Edward Street, Leek. This week featuring Live Wires. Plus on Saturday with Cross Fire. Free admission and all welcome.



Coffee Morning @ 9.30am-1pm at Trinity Church, Derby Street, Leek. In aid of the @21 Youth Centre in Market Street.

Craft Fair @ 1pm-5pm at Haregate Community Centre, Leek. There is free entry to this event, and refreshments will be available on the day.

Winter Steam Gala @ 8.30am onwards Churnet Valley Railway, Cheddleton. Annual Winter Steam Gala weekend featuring a selection of locomotives working a 27 mile round trip running between Froghall and Cauldon Lowe calling at all intermediate stations. Refreshments available on all trains. The first visiting locomotive for the event will be the ex Southern Railways U Class No. 31806 courtesy of the Mid Hants Railway. Also on Sunday. Bric-a-brac Sale @ 10am-12noon at the Conservative Club, Cheadle. Hosted by the Cheadle Animal Welfare Society. Admission is free and there will be tea, coffee and biscuits available. Everyone welcome. Pottery, glassware, jewellery, linen, bedding, clothing, books and much more. All the proceeds to be used to help the waifs and strays.

Live Entertainment @ Doors open at 7pm at the Ball Haye Green Sports and Social Club, Leek. This week with male duo Backtrax. Plus on Sunday with entertainer Garry Mac. Free admission and all welcome.

Hard Core Dance Night @ 9pm until 2am at The Old Royal Oak, Buxton Road, Leek. With DJ Jim Cornbill. Plus every Sunday: karaoke every from 3pm until 7pm. For further details find ‘theoldroyaloak’ on the social networking site of facebook.

Churnet Valley Woodland Walk @ 11am at the Visitor Centre, Froghall Wharf, Foxt Road, Froghall, near Cheadle. Join the ranger on a three to four mile walk, taking in the scenery of the Churnet Valley. Cost: £2.50. Advance booking required by calling 01782 302030.



Fairtrade Fortnight Launch @ 11am at The Foxlowe Arts Centre, Market Place, Leek. Leek Town Mayor, councillor Pam Wood, will be launching the celebrations. Residents and visitors alike are invited to attend the event to taste food courtesy of the Co-operative Members and the Arts Centre's cook.

Cheddleton Historical Society @ 7.30pm at the Community Centre, Hollow Lane, Cheddleton. Illustrated talk by Cathryn Walton - Park Lodge and the Brough Family. Guests welcome £2. 01782 550020.



Foxlowe Film Night @ Doors open at 7pm for a 7.45pm start at The Foxlowe Arts Centre, Leek. Screening of the 12A rated Beasts of the Southern Wild. £5.
