CATS all set for panto

PANTOMIME has arrived in Cheadle - oh yes it has! The Cheadle Amateur Theatrical Society will be presenting their 2013 Pantomime Tinkerbella this week.

Ian Wood will, once again, be providing the laughs as the dame for CATS panto.

It’s just before Christmas in a town not far from here. All the lights have suddenly gone out because the Light of Christmas, Tinkerbella, has been kidnapped! This means that the Townsfolk will not be able to celebrate Christmas.

Can Derek the Elf, who secretly loves Tinkerbella, rescue her with the help of his friends, including Colleen a ‘glamorous’ WAG and part time Godmother - and of course you? Derek and his friends must follow the clues to go in search of Tinkerbella. On their way, they travel through the portals of time, using a very unusual household furniture item, to visit many familiar and unusual places - often with hilarious results.

Initiated and directed by Rachel White, with additional material by Alan Price and Ian Wood, the glittering and all singing and dancing show will run at Cheadle Community Theatre at Cheadle Academy, from this evening (Wednesday, February 20) until Saturday.

The ever popular Ian Wood will also be playing this year’s Dame - this time called Colleen Looney, a WAG and part time godmother.

Each performance will start at 7pm and tickets are available from Cheadle Dry Cleaners, Crafty Urchins and NuSyte Opticians all on the High Street in Cheadle.
