His Worship and The Pig, aka Dave Boulton and Jeff Parton, will be performing their 'Christmas Tail' at the Red Lion in Cheddleton tomorrow evening.

The Folk at the Nest slot is organised by Dave Rhead who is in the Leek-based band of Herbs and Leekies. Dave said: ""Herbs and Leekies will be presenting a set of folk carols and with the added bonus of a free mince pie we hope to start Christmas off with a bang - or perhaps more a pop!"

His Woship - Dave Boulton provides vocals, guitar, acoustic bass guitar, bodhran, shakey egg, and even a rubber glove for the festive show, while Jeff Parton provides vocals, guitar, mandolin, octave mandola, four and fivestring banjos, concertina, Indian harmonium, timple, tzouras, and whistle.

Dave comes from Stoke-on-Trent, and has been performing on the folk scene in the area for around 30 years. Jeff has been a well-known figure on the North Staffs folk scene since it started.

Doors will open for the Folk at the Lion at 8pm for a 8.30pm start.

Tickets are £5 and available on 01538 385260 or on the door.
