Third album for Rick

A SINGER and songwriter has released his new CD in time for Christmas.

Rick Ford, who is often seen performing and taking part in a number of acoustic sessions in and around the Staffordshire Moorlands, has released his third CD entitled 'Voices'.

The talented musician and singer is also known for writing a trilogy of fantasy books which were published more than 15 years ago, called Quest for the Faradawn, Melvaig’s Vision and Children of Ashgaroth.

After leaving his day job as a lawyer in 1999, Rick immersed himself in writing and in music. The first album of his songs 'Smoke and Mirrors' came out in 2008. His second album was called 'Still'.

Rick plays and sings in the pubs and clubs of North Staffordshire either on his own or with his band 'The Careless Lovers'.

Rick said: “'I've always loved music and I've always loved writing, “'It's only recently though that these two great passions have come together “It's like a dam has burst and the songs just keep pouring out.”

Rick has had a variety of musical influences over the years including the likes of Robert Johnson, Bukka White, Son House, Skip James, Robert Pete Williams, John Lee Hooker, Muddy Waters and Howlin' Wolf.

His new album 'Voices' is available from Amazon, CDBaby.com and ITunes as well as from his own wesbite of www.rickfordsongwriter.co.uk and from Housey House in Leek.
