A NEW programme of films to be screened at a community-led arts centre has been announced.
Foxlowe Films return with the first of a weekly programme of Tuesday night films on September 25 with The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel (12A).
With a stellar cast which includes some of the greats of British stage and screen, Judi Dench, Maggie Smith, Ronald Pickup and Bill Nighy, this delightful comedy is sure not to disappoint audiences.
With newly installed projector and audio equipment, the film group at the Foxlowe Arts Centre have planned a varied and exciting programme that will appeal to existing and new audiences.
Forthcoming screenings include The Angel's Share (the prize winning latest bitter-sweet comedy from Ken Loach), Carancho (an Argentinian thriller) and Marley (the definitive biography of Bob Marley released earlier this year).
In addition, the programme responds to audience feedback requesting classics with The Last Picture Show (Peter Bogdanovich's stylish cult film set in small-town America) and a black and white Christmas classic – The Shop Around the Corner, starring James Stewart and Margaret Sullavan.
Full programmes are available from the Foxlowe Arts Centre, Leek Tourist Information and the Library in Stockwell Street.
Tickets for the Foxlowe Films are available from Colloco gift shop in Sheepmarket, Over the Rainbow in Derby Street, and from the Foxlowe Arts Centre Gallery, priced at £5.
Each film night will start at 7.45pm, and include a licensed bar and hot drinks.
