A choral group have donated proceeds of their latest concert to a charity.
Representatives of Shine, a Spina Bifida charity, recently joined Wetley Rocks Male Voice Choir to receive a cheque for £2,500, the proceeds of a concert staged by the choir.
The grandson of the choir's musical director Ian Jones has the condition, and young Harry was also present at the event.
The success of this event has prompted the choir to decide to stage a charity concert annually in the future.
The choir will be performing at Trinity Church in Derby Street, Leek on Saturday, May 17, along with guests Endon Community Choir as part of Leek Arts Festival. Tickets costing £7 are available from Leek Tourist Office, choir members and Westwood Post Office.
New members are most welcome in all sections of the choir. Rehearsals take place at Wetley Rocks Methodists Church on Monday evenings at 7.30pm. No formal audition is held. For more information call John Giddings on 07866 901218.
