Walkers have raised £400 for charity.

The Haregate Community Queen's fund-raising committee hosted a successful sponsored walk to Tittesworth Reservoir at the weekend.

Organiser Heather Dunn-Fox said: "Our walk was very successful.

"It turned out to be great day and we raised around £400 once all sponsorship is in.

"We also held a fun day at St Paul's Church on Friday which also went well, raising £200."

Heather added: "So all in all two good days of fund-raising.

"We have got a great team this year who are all willing to help and be involved.

"So a big thank you to all my team of mums especially Lisa for doing the lunches to take up to Tittesworth and all those who walked - a big thank you.

"Also to all the sponsors, a big thank you and all who came to our fun day a big thank you - I am really really pleased."

The next fund-raising event for Haregate Community Queen is the group's Annual Dog Show on Sunday, August 31 at 1pm.
