An outdoor remembrance service is to be held in Leek to commemorate the 69th Anniversary of VE Day.
Members of the Leek Royal British Legion will be holding a short ceremony at the Nicholson War Memorial in Derby Street at 11am on Thursday, May 8.
VE Day was the day in 1945 when peace finally came to Europe. The Union Flag will fly from the memorial and a wreath will be laid in memory of the 101 fallen from the town who never came home from the Second World War. Everyone is welcome to attend.
