Uttoxeter & District Sunday Football League - Tean Albion v Uttoxeter Town A

TEAN Albion are within a whisker of landing the Division One title after beating their only remaining serious rivals, Uttoxeter Town A, 5-3.

Ryan Griffin grabbed a hat-trick for Albion, who have won all 13 league games to date and find themselves 13 points clear in top spot.

Albion's other goals came from Jamie Housley and Dan Bullock. Liam Sowter (2) and Mark Springhall replied.

Elsewhere, Cheadle Town End and Fulford shared the spoils in a 3-3 draw, while Bulls Head crushed Three Tuns 5-1.

In Division Two, struggling Alton Castle were beaten 4-0 by Little Stoke. Goals from Rob Glennan, Richard Glennan and Adam Stubbs gave Leigh United a 3-0 victory over Ye Olde Talbot.

Cheadle Town were denied a place in the Division Two Cup final by 4-2 winners Stone Town.

Alvin Beardmore and Matt Woodward scored Cheadle's consolation goals.
