TEAN Albion hammered Abbots Bromley 8-0 to go nine points clear at the top Division One of the Uttoxeter & District Sunday League.

It was Tean's tenth consecutive win and puts them well on course for the title, even though Uttoxeter A have two games in hand.

A Ryan Griffin hat-trick and a Jamie Housley double, along with strikes from Steve Parker, Karl Alcock and Dan Boot, gave Tean their impressive win.

In Division Two, Robin Hood walloped Leigh United 4-1. John Thacker netted twice, while Tom Smith and Josh Groombridge made up the Robin Hood tally.

Honours were shared by Steeplechase and Stone Town. Ryan McConnon scored for Steeplechase but Simon Nagington made it 1-1 before the final whistle.

Uttoxeter A moved through to the semi-finals of the Staffs Sunday Cup after a 5-1 win at Loggerheads.

Rob Collins bagged a hat-trick and Liam Sowter and James Curley completed the scoring. Uttoxeter's reward is a home clash with Blurton Joker in the last four.
