Upcycling is the message from The Donna Louise Children’s Hospice which is appealing for any unwanted Christmas presents and furniture to sell in its shops to help raise vital funds.

The Charity, which supports children with life-limiting conditions and their families, is looking for donations for its shop and Your Shop Superstore in Leek Town Centre.

Martin Evans, Area Manager for The Donna Louise Children’s Hospice’s Retail Operations, said: “We are appealing for any donations of unwanted Christmas presents so don’t forget if you don’t want it – someone else will.

“The money raised in the shops will be used to help fund our services, which support around 180 families across South Cheshire and Staffordshire.”

The shops accept donations of furniture, including sofas which are very popular, clothes, toys, books, baby items, household items and electrical goods. In particular, the Charity is looking for donations of bedroom furniture, especially beds and wardrobes, as well as sofas.

There is even a free collection service for large items such as furniture, which can be contacted on 01782 849336.
