A planning application has been submitted to erect a 50kw wind turbine at Three Nooks Farm at Horton.
The application was withdrawn by planning officers just minutes before going in front of Staffordshire Moorlands District Council's planning applications committee for a decision last month The overall height of the turbine to blade tip would be 34.2 metres (112) feet.
A design and access statement submitted on behalf of the applicant by Bagshaws said: "Views from the north and south are across open fields and the turbine will be seen against a hill backdrop.
"To the west the distance to the turbine and topography of the landscape, with land falling away either side of Lask Edge Road, will ensure that the impact of the turbine will be reduced with only the upper part visible above the skyline.
"While views are more open from the east, these are at such a distance that the impact of the turbine should be reduced.
Indeed, the turbine will be seen in conjunction with both the farm and also the industrial gas extraction operations which will provide somewhat of a backdrop."
