The Travellers Rest in Stanley has been presented with CAMRA's Pub of the Month award.
The accolade was presented as part of the annual Potteries CAMRamble.
The Traveller's Rest, in Tompkin Lane, is a pub for both 'foodies' and real ale drinkers.
It is described as a traditional pub with low ceilings, exposed wooden beams, brasses and plenty of rural charm.
Current landlord Steve Bowers, who has worked there for over 16 years, told the Post & Times: "We are very pleased to win the award and proud of what we have achieved. We have won this award before a few years previously, but are very glad to win it again."
Steve added he has always kept a well-stocked cellar to a high standard. A free house, its regular beers are normally supplemented by two guest ales which come from either the Marston's range or a micro-brewery.
