TOAST stands for Totally Original Artisans Staffordshire, a not-for-profit community interest company with all profits going towards giving artisans a selling platform for their artwork.
Established in June last year, TOAST has just celebrated its one-year anniversary by opening a shop in Getliffes Yard.
TOAST believes Leek has the right mix of independent shops and a reputation for enthusiasm towards anything quirky and unique.
The company is run by Cheddleton-born-and-raised Victoria Pearson and her partner Mark Sherratt.
After running pop-up events, fairs and festivals, the couple decided that now would be the perfect time to bring a permanent shop to the high street.
Artisans are invited to showcase their wares and pieces at a price they set. There are no huge gallery commission fees and helpful advice is provided free.
The TOAST shop contains a mix of handcrafted, up-cycled artistic works and items.
TOAST is working along with The Yard Tea Rooms to provide workshops and 'Meet the Maker' days, where artisans will be demonstrating their talents and skills and be open for commission works.
TOAST is the place to pick up something truly unique and for less than you think – prices start from £1.
