Things set to get crafty for Leek's Art in the Park in Brough Park

A multitude of musical acts and creative folk will be taking part in this year's Art In The Park event in Leek.

Art-lovers are invited to the free creative weekend which will take place at Leek's Brough Park this weekend (May 10 and 11).

Now in its eighth year, the creative event is organised by a number of organisations including the Friends of Brough Park and Staffordshire Moorlands District Council, which maintains the town's main recreational area of Brough Park.

Here we take a look at just some of those exhibiting at this year's Art In The Park:

Anne Rodgers has been hand-making slipware pottery in Alsager since 1978. She will have a selection of lovely and useful pots on sale: good in the house, kitchen or as gifts. www.alsagerpottery.co.uk.

Leek-based Brett Trafford is an award winning freelance and commercial photographer. Internationally recognised for both his landscape and portrait work with over 20 years of experience. www.bretttrafford.com

A regular at Art in the Park Sarah Myatt works from her studio in Leek designing and creating a range of glass pieces including jewellery, hangings and greeting cards. www.sarahmyattglass.co.uk

Gill McMillan is an experienced and qualified designer within the field of ceramics. Inspiration for her work is taken from nature and designs are crafted in a variety of clays using a range of techniques. www.theotherpottery.co.uk

Running from 11am until 5pm on Saturday, May 10 and 10am until 4pm on Sunday, May 1; this year's Art in the Park is set to be bigger and better.
