OVERNIGHT on Sunday 15th to Monday 16th June a works Renault van parked in Ashbourne Road, Cheadle, was entered through a side door.
The vehicle was locked and alarmed so the means of entry is clear.
Stolen were two hammer drills and a radio.
Thieves are targeting vans containing this kind of property which calls for extra vigilance.
Ken Rickard, Neighbourhood Watch Manager, said: "Please pass this message onto your neighbours especially those that keep tools in their vehicles and advise them to garage their vehicle or remove property from it before leaving it secure with the alarm on.
"Any suspicious person or incident should be reported to the police immediately."
