A THEME park is gearing up to frighten visitors this month.
Alton Towers Resort Scarefest 2013 promises to offer the most terrifying event to date at the Staffordshire Moorlands venue.
There will be something for all thrill seekers and families, with tons of terrific rides, blockbusting attractions, amazing live shows, and weird and wonderful costume characters.
The 'terrifying' Scarefest event will run from October 19 until November 3, with rides operating after dark.
The Theme Park is open each day from 10am - until late throughout the event.
Masks are not permitted, but fancy dress and make up are allowed if visitors wish like to wear their favourite Halloween costumes.
The scary mazes are not recommended for children under 14 years of age. Steps, uneven walkways, confined spaces, loud noises and live actors feature in the mazes. For the little ones there will be Patch's Trick-or-Treat Party Live on stage.
Patch has arranged a spooktacular party and everyone is invited. Dance along to this silly stage show which families will love! So grab your friends, sing-a-long and dance to Patch's favourite halloween songs. This fun family halloween show is part of the spooktacular ''Franklyn's Freaky Fun Zone'' line up.
Franklyn's Freaky Fun Zone - Join Franklyn, Skelvin, Patch and Phil as they take over Fountain Square and transform it into a colourful Halloween Playland, filled with spooky attractions, theming and activities that are perfect for young families. Attractions also include: Skelvin’s Spooky Storytime, Phil & Franklyn's Ghoul School, 'Patch's Freaky Talks', 'Character Meet and Greets with Franklyn and Friends'.
