Nine teams are in this division and the next two matches will see Abbey View playing two of the other contenders for the title – Westlands B and Florence D.

Sam Bostock partnered 15-year-old Cai Markham. They are proving to be a strong force, having won all four of their matches.
The men's A team, who were relegated last summer, are finding life a bit easier in division two. The team comprising Martin Pigott, Julian Keene, Ian Sales and Ben Peake won 4-0 at home to Stone
The men's C team are struggling in division three and suffered a 4-0 defeat against Westlands B. Dave Cartwright partnered 17 year old Sam Wheeldon, while newcomers to league tennis Dave Randle partnered Patrick Barks.
The ladies had a good win against local rivals Endon. Ann Gould stepped into the team at the last minute and partnered regular Janet Hardern, winning one match and losing the other. The regular pairing of Rachel Finney and Jane Beswick won both their matches, giving the team a 3-1 win. Club tournaments are running through June and the first of these was the 100+ mixed doubles, an event where the combined ages of the two players must be at least 100 years!
A round robin is played and the top two pairs go through to play a best of three-sets final on finals day in September.
This year sees 2012 champions Jane Beswick and Colin Kinshott facing Janet Hardern and Dave Bennett.
The next event is the men's doubles this Friday (6pm).
