LEEK Park are celebrating another promotion with June Flavell’s A team moving up from division two into the top tier.

After only being promoted from Division Three last term, they have finished runners-up to Barlaston Plume of Feathers, last season’s division three champions.

In their final fixture of the 2013 season, Park easily despatched Etruria by winning nine games.

Ray Smith took the sweepstake, with a 21-04 card.

The Bee’s completed their season with a reasonable 155 points score at Tunstall. Pauline Heath 21-03 was the kitty winner.

The finals of the club competitions were staged on Sunday, the doubles being a repeat of the 2012 final, only this time Dave Scragg and Ian Dickin overcame Margaret Perkin and Ken Holdway 21-12.

In his second final of the day, Dave Scragg defeated Bob Green 21-7.

Dave Scragg has completed a hat-trick of club averages by adding the Saturday average to his Congleton and Stoke-on-Trent league successes.

Nigel Heath won the Wednesday B team and the Thursday cups, and Trevor Wardle lifted the Bee’s title.

Nigel Heath with 42 points is the first winner of the Park League competition.

Ken Holdway will face Pauline Heath or Margaret Perkin in the Park Trophy final.
