Talk on Modern Buddhism at the Foxlowe Arts Centre in Leek

A free talk on modern Buddhism is on offer at an arts centre in the Staffordshire Moorlands next week.

The Free Public Talk on Modern Buddhism entitled 'A Better Life' is being presented by Buddhist monk, Gen Kelsang Sangye on Monday (September 1) from 7.30pm until 8.45pm at The Foxlowe Arts Centre in Leek.

Jan, Education Programme Co-ordinator at Samudra Buddhist Centre said: "Meditation and mindfulness for busy people. When our mind is peaceful we are happy, but if our mind is not peaceful we shall not be happy no matter how good our external conditions may be. The purpose of meditation is to make our mind peaceful, the more we train in meditation the more peaceful our mind becomes. Gen Sangye will explain the purpose and benefits of meditation that will help us to find a better life."
