POLICE are appealing for witnesses following the theft of a puppy from an address in Century Street, Stoke-on-Trent.
Officers were called to the address at 12.15am on Wednesday 7 August after being alerted to the theft, which occurred between 10.30pm (Tues 6 Aug) and just after midnight.
Offenders had got in to the house and went on to steal an Akita puppy called Flash, who is only a few months old.
Flash is valued at £1,250.The offenders also stole a black Alba flat screen television worth £65 and a number of bank cards.
Anyone with information on the burglary, or is offered such a puppy in suspicious circumstances, is asked to contact DC Steve Carless at Staffordshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 14 of August 7, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
