WAITROSE has started its search for up to 50 new partners to work at its new supermarket in Leek.
Currently a Co-operative food store, work is due to start on converting the building into a new Waitrose branch in April.
The new partners will join the 65 Co-op members of staff who will transfer over to Waitrose when it is scheduled to open in May.
The roles still available include part-time supermarket assistants, hospitality staff to work in the new café, and a post office counter clerk.
All successful applicants will become partners in the John Lewis Partnership, entitling them to a number of benefits including a say in how the business is run, leisure and learning subsidies and an annual bonus which last year equated to nine weeks wages.
Nigel Keen, Waitrose Director of Development said: "Since launching our recruitment drive a short time ago, we have had a really positive response from job seekers in Leek.
"We are also working with the local Jobcentre Plus to provide interview opportunities for unemployed people.
"The closing date for applications is now fast approaching so we would urge anyone interested in joining our team to apply at the earliest opportunity."
