A GOLDIE oldie movie will be the next screening for a film night in Leek.

Foxlowe Films presents a Christmas tale this Tuesday, December 17, to round off its autumn season and put the audience in a festive spirit.

The U rated The Bishop's Wife is a lovely black and white golden oldie, featuring Cary Grant as angel Dudley who comes to earth to help out bishop Henry Brougham (David Niven) who is engaged in a desperate fundraising appeal to build a cathedral.

However, his financial concerns have led him to become cut off from his wife and parishioners.

It is a state of affairs the suave angel intends to put straight.

The film, at The Foxlowe Arts Centre in Leek, starts promptly at 7.45pm, with licensed bar and hot drinks available from 7pm. Advance tickets are available from the Foxlowe Gallery and Over the Rainbow price £5 with online tickets available from the foxlowe website at www.foxloweartscentre.org.uk.
