Street soccer is proving to be a hit in the Staffordshire Moorlands

STREET soccer is proving a big hit again with football-crazy youngsters across the Moorlands. 

This year's programme has been extended to 12 weeks, up to the week ending September 26.

The district council-backed scheme is being run jointly by the Leek Town FC community section and the Moorlands Together Safer and Stronger Communities Partnership.

The free sessions are open to youngsters 8-18. Sessions are being led by Leek Town coaches at the following locations from 7pm until 8pm:

Mondays: Ball Haye Green recreation ground, Leek.

Tuesdays: Cheddleton recreation ground.

Wednesdays: Blythe Bridge recreation ground.

Thursdays: Brown Edge playing fields.

Fridays: Churchill Road playing fields, Cheadle.
