A CHEADLE supermarket has been helping mums feel special this Mother's Day after holding a card designing competition.
Morrisons in Well Street, Cheadle, hosted the competition and the three winners Ella Thornley, Freya Portland-Hughes and Jacob Parker were awarded with a bouquet of flowers to give to their deserving mums.
The event was organised by the store's Community Champion Deb Reece.
She said: "It was something we wanted to do to say thank you to all the mums who come to the store as part of ongoing initiatives we do with the community."
It followed another Mother's Day themed activity which took place at Poppins Nursery in Cheadle, where pupils baked cakes for their mums with ingredients supplied by Morrisons.
Store manager Julie Cartlidge said: "Things like this are really good for the store and the community and it is good to see local children taking part."
