ON Saturday August 16, a Music and Motors Event is taking place with 40 classic and vintage cars in Leek town centre, as well as a monthly Fine Food market selling locally produced food and crafts. 

LEEK Allotment Holders and Gardeners Association Annual Vegetable and Flower Show is taking place on Saturday, August 16, at St Paul's Novi Lane, Leek, at 1.30pm. Entry is free with Tombola, Auction, Raffle, Refreshments and Presentations. 

BALL Haye Green Sports and Social Club in Leek is hosting two weeks of live entertainment. On Saturday, August 16, at 7pm Duo Fusion will be performing. On Saturday, August 23, Duo TCB will be performing. Entry to both events if free and all are welcome. For details contact 01538 398634.

HOLLINGSCLOUGH Chapel is selling its remaining flower festival props from 11am to 4pm on Sunday, August 17, Sunday, August 24, and Monday, August 25.

LEEK Conservative Club in Mill Street, Leek, is holding live entertainment on Saturday, August 16, with Lenny Lee. Doors open at 7.30pm. 

LEEK and Moorlands Carnival Queen Fun Day is taking place tomorrow, Thursday, August 14, from midday to 3pm at St Paul's Community Centre, Novi Lane , Leek. There will be a bouncy castle, stalls and games. All proceeds will go to the Rainbows Children Hospice. 

EVENING Cycle sessions for young people are taking place at the Cycle Centre at Waterhouses car park on Thursday, August 14, from 6pm to 9pm. Cost £2 per person, a limited number of cycles are available to hire. Make your own way to the venue and bring your own water and drinks. Helmets and cycle gloves must be worn at all times. It is your responsibility to bring or hire your own bike. Parental consent required for people under 18. 

MILWARD HAll Youth Centre in Salisbury Street, Leek, is holding an easy photography session for young people on Monday, August 18, from 1pm to 3.30pm. Use your own equipment such as mobile phones and cameras. 

A TRIP to the seaside for summer fun, sand castles, fish and chips and ice cream has been organised for young people by local youth centres on Wednesday, August 20. Pick up from Cheadle Youth Centre in Station Road is at 9.15am returning at 6.15pm; pick up at Milward Hall in Salisbury Street, Leek, is at 9.30am returning at 6pm. Cost is £10 per person and parental consent is required for anyone aged under 18.
