BALL Haye Green advanced to the fourth round of the Staffs FA Vase with a 4-0 home defeat of Wolverhampton Casuals on Saturday.

In-form marksman Mike Keates grabbed a brace for the Green in this previously weather-delayed third round tie. Will Boun and Martin Baker were the other scorers.

Green's Premier Division rivals Wolstanton United join them in the next round after coming back from a goal down to beat Hanley Town 3-1, courtesy of goals from Mark Grice (2) and Shaun Fuller.

AFC Hanley Town, who have enjoyed a clearer passage in the competition, booked their place in the final with a solitary goal from Martin Stanier against Lichfield.

In the league, six goals came in the last 20 minutes in AFC Leek Town's Premiership clash at Abbey Hulton.

Josh Tune opened for Abbey on 70 minute, but Leek equalised through Sam Meir five minutes later. Josh Graham regained the lead for the home side in the 81st minute and Todd Bailey made it 3-1 on 89 minutes. Duane Spence replied for Leek 60 seconds later, only for Mark Philcock to restored Abbey's margin with virtually the last kick of the game.

Visitors Redgate Clayton went ahead after 35 minutes through Shaun Searle against Alsager Town.

Ben Rowley added a second five minutes later without the hosts managing a reply.

Eccleshall went ahead in the first half at Hilton Harriers through Wildman.

Brent Freeman equalised after the break and added a second, before Alex Fowler made it three for the home side to take the points.

Norton United and Audley shared the points from a goalless draw.

Cheadle Town came close to causing an upset away to league leaders Uttoxeter Town after taking the lead through Alex Wood following a goalless first half.

An own goal brought the scores level and Lee Baggley scored the winner for Uttoxeter from the penalty spot.

Josh Rosh put Newcastle Town ahead after the break at Keele University and they increased their lead through Robson Healey and Josh Hall. Alistair Gordon pulled a goal back for the students.

In Division One, Charles Mann opened the scoring for Ashbourne at home to Silverdale Athletic. Richard Coates added a second before the break and Paul Etherington made it three without reply in the second half.

Brereton Social opened on 52 minutes with a goal from Rhys Baker against Bradwell. Scott O'Brien equalised on 66 minutes to share the points.

Visitors Betley went into the break at Cheadle SMU ahead by a Tom Woodcock goal, but Patrick Callaghan equalised in the second half.

Johnson opened for Hall Heath in the second half against Knypersley Victoria. Rowan brought the score level.

The Knypersley goalkeeper saved a penalty five minutes time, but he was powerless to prevent Hall Heath from snatching the winner through from Mead in the 88th minute.

Visitors MMU scored three times at Milton United through Ant Coyle, Micky Cattermole and James Stafford. Nick Hall replied.

Tom Broadhurst scored twice for Norton United reserves at home to league leaders Stapenhill and Brandon Ford added a further goal without reply in the second half.

Redgate Clayton reserves went ahead at home to Foley through Dave Ashley. Ashley added a second after the break and Olly Jepson made it 3-0. Ashton Buckley netted a consolation for Foley.

James Betley opened for Sandbach United at home to Abbey Hulton, Ash Williams equalised before the break. Jack Daniels put the visitors ahead before Chris Stockton equalised.

The winner for Sandbach came from Anthony Broad on 90 minutes.

In Division Two, visitors Longton Adderley Green scored six times at Betley. On target for the visitors were Matt Cockfield (2), S Barker (2), H White and Dave Ottley. M Woolley pulled a goal back for Betley.

Wayne Chadwick scored the only goal of the game for Stone Old Alleynians at the LA FC in the second half off a long throw- in.

Visitors Leek CSOB scored four without reply from Longton to take the points.

Danny Boote opened the scoring in the first half for Cheadle Town reserves against Milton United reserves. Rory Bradbury added a second after the break.

Tunstall Town conceded six at home to Whittington. Sam Moylan scored twice and Dan Alsop, Chad Baker, Tom Dixon and Steve Wilkins added a goal apiece. David Farr replied for Tunstall.

Nick Hodgkiss scored the only goal of the game for Hawkins away to Uttoxeter Town reserves.
