ANOTHER glut of postponements due to waterlogged pitches saw just four of the 14 scheduled league fixtures go ahead.
These included Knypersley Victoria's Division One clash with Sandbach United, which ended in a 4-1 victory for the Moorlands outfit.
The shock result of the day was the 2-0 defeat of Premier Division leaders Uttoxeter Town by visitors Wolstanton United.
Goals from Mark Grice and Chris Broad gave Wolstanton victory over Utttoxeter, while Tom Madden, Shaun Mountford, Kieron Ball and Reece Smith netted for Knypersley against Sandbach.
The two League Two Challenge Cup semi-final matches went ahead thanks to modern technology.
Leek CSOB surrendered home advantage to play Uttoxeter Town Reserves on the artificial pitch at St George's Park in Burton. A solitary 70th minute goal by Glyn Douglas booked Uttoxeter a place against East Staffordshire rivals Hilton Harriers Reserves in the final.
Hilton edged out Cheadle Town Reserves 3-2 with the help of an own goal, after a determined fightback by the visitors had seen them twice level the score.
Tom Harlow opened the account for Hilton before Ash Smith equalised. An own goal by Carnwell put Hilton back in front, only for Matthew Wood to level matters, before Ashley Smith fired in the winner.
