CHEADLE Town continued their good start to the year with a fourth win in succession.
Man of the match was Alex Wood who scored four of the goals with Adam Cartlidge and an own goal from Jake Chadwick completing the rout.
Cheadle took the lead in the 20th minute from a corner. Dan Rooksby supplied the cross which Sam Gavin headed into the path of Adam Cartlidge, allowing him to guide the ball over the line with his upper body.
Cheadle quickly doubled their lead in the 22nd minute through Alex Wood.
In the 41st minute. Cheadle were awarded a free-kick midway into the Alsager half on the right. John Evans crossed into the Alsager goal area and Jake Chadwick defending for Alsager headed firmly into his own net to give Cheadle a 3-0 lead.
Cheadle went 4-0 up in the 71st minute. Alcock beating two defenders and passing the ball square to Alex Wood again.
A little later, Alcock's defence-splitting pass through the middle sent Wood away again, and his shot was met with a brave attempt to save from Hindley – but the ball was only pushed onto the inside of the far post and into the net for a hat-trick from Cheadle's top scorer.
Mark Alcock replaced Gavin in the final three minutes, and assisted Wood to side-foot home his forth goal in the 90th minute, to complete a thorough all round performance from the Cheadle team.
