A RUGELEY couple have been short listed to represent the modern British wedding in a new reality TV show.
Charlotte White 22, and Scott Clarke 23, are down to the final five couples in the running to take part in the new programme by Dragon Fly TV, who produced shows like One Born Every Minute and The Family.
Charlotte, who was first approached at a wedding show in Birmingham, said said: “I was really excited looking round all the beautiful stores, when the producer approached me and starting asking me about my wedding. She seemed really interested in our plans.”
Filming of the fly-on-the-wall show will involve rigging the couple’s house with cameras for six weeks leading up to the wedding, filming 24 hours a day, as well as on the big day itself.
The series is set to be six one hour episodes that will capture the highs, lows, tempers and tantrums that arise leading up to a wedding.
The next step for the couple is to film a pilot episode to see how they react in front of the cameras.
Charlotte said: “It would be very exciting but I am a little nervous about people watching our every move, especially me with no make up on in the morning!”
The concept of the show differs from something like Big Brother in the way the couple will have the final say on what is aired.
Charlottes said that the producers have been very specific in their brief, they want a couple that represents a modern British relationship, that others can related to.
Charlotte said: “We can all put on a ‘rom com’ but this is real life, there will be argument.
“It’s a stressful time but I know there will be a happy ever after.”
Charlotte and Scott’s wedding is set to take place on February 28 at Moddershall Oaks in Stone.
