A team from St Edward's Academy visited Stafford Town Football Club to play in the Staffordshire Schools County Cup Final.
Ross Salmon, PE teacher at St Edward's, said: "This was a big occasion for the boys and the school as we have never reached this stage of the competition in the past.
"We were playing against De Ferrers High School from Burton who had won their semi final 6-0, and so we knew it was going to be a tough encounter.
"We started nervously and it was De Ferrers who had the first chance, but fortunately their player shot wide.
"We started to pass the ball around and it wasn't long before Luke Bourne headed us into the lead.
"This settled us down and we took control and goals from Patrick Burnett and a second from Llewy.
"De Ferrers pulled a goal back early in the second half but we carried on dominating the game and three more goals from Luke Bourne, Jay wilkinson and Jacques Rushton meant we won 7-1."
