REPRESENTATIVES from the emergency services held a special event at a recreation ground to help teach children about safety.

Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service brought a fire engine and firemen to Pointon Park in Cheddleton alongside Staffordshire Police, who were on site to give local advice and free security marking for bikes and scooters with Trevor the police tractor and a free bouncy castle.

John Barratt, manager of the facility, said: "I was once again overwhelmed by the support from the local community for our recent family attraction at Pointon Park.
