Man-of-the-match Sammy Corden opened the scoring with the first of his five tries with a searing break up the right wing. Buxton hit back before a sustained period of Leek pressure brought two tries in quick succession for Michael Stonier.  Great defensive work from skipper Sam Hirst - ably assisted by Charlie Breen - continued to keep Buxton at bay while wingers Archie Hall and Melody Dunn snuffed out the threat out wide. Two further Corden tries either side of a Rhys Walton score saw Leek comfortably home by six tries to three.

In game two Buxton got off to a quick start and were soon ahead three tries to the good. Leek responded with a virtuoso Corden try before their forwards took control. Stonier, Harry Grimes and Grace Chandler won two scrums against the head and also dominated the line-out. Grimes crossed in the corner before Corden outpaced the Buxton defence again to level the scores.

A determined Buxton drive late in the game was thwarted when Walton stripped the ball and sped the length of the pitch for the winning score.
